14kt. yellow gold kite shaped LOCKET (originally a necessaire). This magnificent piece has detailed engraving on front & back and is accented with 2 cabochon sapphires. And as if to add to the beauty, there is a pearl studded tassel. The original insert still holds a trace of the mercury diamond mirror, but could now hold personal small treasures. The locket weighs 35.25 grams, is 2-1/2" long (not including tassel or chain), has a maker's mark for Dalzell & co., Newark, New Jersey and is in excellent condition (although the finger ring is not attached & a chain is not included) $2000.00
