14kt. yellow gold PENDANT
featuring an iridescent bug Roman micromosaic. The bug is black red, brown
and iridescent green and red. The insect sits on a field of white tesserae
surrounded by a gold frame and rope twisting. The sides are done in red, white
and blue tiles spaced with round balls and are encircled by a second rope
twisted wire. The pendant was probably originally a tie pin. This piece is
3/4" round and 1" from the drop. The tesserae (tiles) are in very good
condition $400.00
