Art Deco Ellis Bros. Diamond, Jade, & Onyx BROOCH Art Deco c. 1920

Platinum topped 18kt. white gold open buckle style bar BROOCH. This fabulous period piece was made by Ellis Brothers of Canada, pre-cursors to Birks of Canada. It features a center 10 point round, old European cut diamond mounted in a black onyx ring and surmounted on a 6 sided medium green jadeite plaque. There are 10 additional diamonds that are round, rose cuts. The piece is 2-1/2 " long. It weighs 5.2 grams, has a safety pin style closure and is in excellent condition

Edwardian Yellow & Rose Gold Diamond BROOCh Edwardian c. 1910

14kt. & 10kt. yellow & rose gold open fretwork bar style BROOCH. This unusual piece has  a "compass point" circle sitting on top of the lattice. The circle has black enamel and a 5 point round, brilliant cut, buttercup prong set diamond in the center. The piece is 2-1/2" long X 1/2" wide, can be used as a "stickpin" type brooch with a clutch or a standard brooch. It is in excellent condition

Retro Modern c. 1940  

Platinum and 18kt. rose gold bow dress clip style BROOCH in a quintessential Retro style. This lovely piece features 7 round and faceted, prong set rubies. Set in platinum are 14 round rose cut diamonds. This clip has pierced gold work that is nicely done. It is 1-3/8" wide X 2" long. The attaching mechanism is in the traditional fur clip style. The piece is numbered, weighs 15.5 grams and is in excellent condition

Edwardian Platinum, Diamond & Pearl Brooch Edwardian c. 1910

Platinum BROOCH with a central  European cut, deep cushion shaped diamond  6.8mm X 5.8mm, approximately 1.15 carats (SI2,  J-K color)  in a lobed navette shape. Besides the central diamond which features an open culet, there are an additional .75 carats  and 4 gray white pearls at the four points of the brooch. The back features a dress clip in 14kt. white gold  and safety clasp. This exquisite pin is in excellent condition, is 1-3/4" long X 3/4" high and comes in its own presentation box

Victorian Gold, Pearl & Diamond Pendant Brooch

Victorian c. 1880

14kt. yellow gold PENDANT/BROOCH combination in the shape of a lover's heart. The pendant/brooch is encrusted with prong set pearls and the central feature is a 5.5 mm Dutch cut rose diamond. The stone is flawed, but has a bright sparkly look and good color. The bale folds down to be worn as a brooch. The pendant/brooch is 1" X 1" , has an indecipherable maker's mark and is in excellent condition

Victorian Demantoid, Sapphire & Diamond Sword Brooch

Victorian c. 1845 

High carat silver-topped gold sword style BROOCH. You can not say enough about this piece...it is high Victorian in design and absolutely gorgeous. It features a Burmese hot pink sapphire (some would call it a ruby) in a cushion cut shape that is 5mm. X 4mm. and bezel set in a crown style setting. This piece has an additional  three round hot pink sapphires also bezel set in a crown style setting on the sword hilt. There are tendrils of leaves encrusted with Russian demantoid garnets (including horsetail inclusions) wrapped around the blade of the sword . And as a final touch, sparkly old mine cut diamonds are prong set down the blade and hilt with a total weight of 1 carat prox. This piece is 2-1/4" long and 1" wide. You will never wear this brooch without compliments on it. The piece is in excellent condition, has a C-clasp, a marvelous patina and comes in a box which is probably original to the piece

14kt. white gold open filigree bar style BROOCH. This lovely piece features 2 - 1mm X 3mm deep blue calibre cut sapphires on either side of a 10 point round, European cut diamond that is prong set, SI1, I-K in color. On the outside of the sapphires are 2 more 2 point prong set diamonds for added sparkle. Around the stones is millegraining.  The piece is 2-1/4" overall in length, has a safety clasp and is in excellent condition

Art Nouveau Fraternal Brooch

20th. Century Newark Fraternal c. 1920 

Platinum topped 14kt. yellow gold lady's BROOCH representing the Shriner's fraternal order. This piece features a platinum top with a gold scimitar, crescent moon, diamond star and pharonic head. The moon is done in peach enamel and there is a 7 point round, bezel set diamond super imposed on the star.  The diamond is mounted in platinum and features millegraining. The piece is by Brod & Company of Newark, New Jersey,  is 1-1/8" wide X 1/2" tall, has a safety clasp and is in excellent condition

Russian Enamel, Diamond & Pearl Sword Brooch

Russian c. 1900 

Silver topped 14kt. yellow gold and 14kt. yellow gold sword shaped BROOCH. A fabulous look from a bygone era, this piece has everything. The hilt of the sword is silver topped yellow gold encrusted with 37 single cut diamond. To add a dramatic finish, there is a round, faceted dark blue sapphire and a flat topped, cream colored natural pearl. The scabbard of the sword is guilloche enamel in a pale baby blue color. At the bottom of the scabbard, there are an additional 3 diamonds. The back is nicely finished and features Russian gold marks and a maker's mark. The piece is 4-1/2" long, has a C-clasp and is in excellent condition

14kt. yellow gold dangle BROOCH in a great Art Nouveau style. The center of the brooch features an 8 point, prong set diamond. There are 21 small half pearls. The focal point of the piece is an angel coral pendant drop. The piece is 2" long X 1-1/4" wide and weighs 4 grams. The piece has a safety clasp and is in excellent condition

Art Nouveau Enamel & Diamond Pansy Brooch Pendant

Art Nouveau c. 1890

14kt. yellow gold enamel flower PENDANT/BROOCH/WATCHPIN combination. A wonderful example of an Art Nouveau matte enamel piece which simulates the velvety texture of a real pansy. The top leaves are dark purple, while the bottom leaves are veined and shaded from a yellowish enamel to a darker violet. The center is a 12 point old brilliant cut, prong set diamond. The diamond is VS2, G-H color and is a sparkly counterpoint to the velvet texture of the enamel. This piece can be worn as a pendant, a brooch or as a watchpin. It is 1-1/8" tall and 1-1/2" from the pendant bail (which folds down when worn as a brooch). The enamel is in pristine condition, the brooch has a safety clasp, there are no maker's marks, the piece weighs 7.2 grams and is in excellent condition

Russian Crown Brooch with Moonstone, Rubies & Diamonds

Russian c. 1850  

14kt. yellow gold BROOCH in a magnificent crown configuration. This piece features a fixture which could be changed to add a comb for wearing in your hair. Sadly, the comb has been lost in time, but the brooch fixture remains. We are assuming the piece is Russian due to the execution and gold content, although there are no hallmarks remaining. A wonderful and grand piece, there are 32 cabochon cut moonstones ranging in size from .75 carats to 1.15 carats. pale white to light blue in color, for a total weight of 27 carats (prox). There are 21 cushion cut rubies and 21 natural half pearls. For added sparkle, there are 15 rose cut diamonds. This exquisitely executed piece is 3-1/8" wide X 1" high, weighs 32.5 grams and is in excellent condition

Edwardian Newark Flower Brooch

Edwardian Newark c. 1910 

Platinum topped yellow gold BROOCH in an exquisite flower vase design. The flowers are carved citrine, amethyst, lapis lazuli and carnelian and each has wonderfully detailed petals. Within the center of each carved flower is a natural pearl. The central diamond encrusted "vine" is in the shape of a fleur de lis.  The diamonds are approximately 10 points and their mountings are millegrained.  The piece is by Krementz of Newark, New Jersey and is fabulous in every detail, as you would expect. The piece is 1-5/8" X 3/4" and is in excellent condition

14kt. yellow gold saber style jabot style BROOCH. This little gem features white enameling on the hilt of the sword "wrapped" in gold and 47 half pearls. As added sparkle there is a  6 point old mine cut diamond. The piece has a safety chain, is 3-3/4" long and has a bit of wear to the enamel, but otherwise in excellent condition

Victorian Diamond, Pearl & Enamel Locket Brooch

Victorian c. 1850 

18kt. yellow gold lover's token BROOCH/ PENDANT. This little beauty is a dark cobalt blue guilloche enamel brooch with white enamel encircling the blue. The gold underneath decorates the enamel and is allowed to show through in a millegrain pattern. There are 14 pearls that enhance the outside of the piece. Rose cut diamonds form inter-twined hearts topped with an enameled crown. The back of the piece is almost as interesting as the front with a glass compartment to put a love token or trinket. The original backing is under the glass. The pin stem is held by a C-clasp and extends beyond the outside of the piece, as is typical of jewelry of this age. There is a hanger for wearing as a pendant. The piece is slightly over 1" round and enamel is in excellent condition and overall  the piece is in very good to excellent condition

Platinum & 14kt. white gold navette shaped filigree bar style  BROOCH. A gorgeous piece, this lovely pin has a center diamond of 35 points. There are side accents of 6- 5 point and 8- 2 point diamonds and to make an even more bold statement, there are 4 triangular shaped sapphires. The filigree is delicate and the top of the pin is solid platinum. The diamonds are in millegrained settings. A wonderful piece that is 2-1/4" long X 1/2". The pin and safety clasp in 14kt. white gold are unique, hand made and very secure. This fine Art deco brooch is in excellent condition

French c. 1870 Gold & Diamond Brooch

French c. 1870

18Kt. yellow gold with silver topped gold in a vegetal shaped BROOCH. This beauty is a pre-cursor to the later Art Nouveau movement, but has all the style and fluidity of line of the Nouveau era. A gorgeous leaf motif surrounded by rose cut diamonds mounted in silver give this design a sparkly, alive look. The highlight is a pear shaped, rose cut diamond of approximately .50 points (1/2 carat) . The carat weight of the diamonds is difficult to estimate since they are the rose cut style, but total weight is estimated at approximately 1 carat in 26 diamonds.  The diamonds have good clarity, generally not typical of older stones and shows off  the quality of workmanship. It has a C-clasp, is 1-1/2" round, can be worn with the large diamond at the top or bottom of the pin, and is in excellent condition

Art Deco Platinum & Diamond Dress Clip

Art Deco c. 1930

Platinum Dress Clip BROOCH in a shield motif.  A wonderful example of high Art Deco this piece has the sparkle of a lot of diamonds. All of the diamonds are either old mine cut or rose cut and probably came from an older piece of jewelry re-fashioned during the 1930's. The center stone is 60 points (.60 carat with SI2 clarity, K-L color), the 2 side stones are each 33 points (1/3 carat with VS2/SI2 clarity, K-L color), there are 5 stone of  25 points each (1/4 carat each with VS2 clarity, H & K-L color),  1 stone of 15 points (I1 clarity, H color), 13- 7 point stones, 37 rose cut diamonds of 2 to 4 points  each  and  1- 5 point trapezoidal cut center diamond accent. The total weight is 5.03 carats (prox) . The back is in the clip style popular in the 1930's and the piece weighs 9.6 grams, is 1-1/4"  tall X 1-1/8" wide and in excellent condition

Georgian En Tremblant Diamond Brooch Pendant

Georgian/Victorian c. 1850

Silver-topped yellow gold handmade flower BROOCH diamond encrusted. The main flower is mounted "en tremblant" (it moves) to show the flash of diamonds at every movement. The patina on this piece is spectacular.  When candlelight was the only light, this brooch shimmered with the light of 85 diamonds and a total weight of 4-1/2 carats (approximately). It probably started life as an aigrette/brooch combination. It has been fitted with a pin stem and pendant combo with an interesting screw in mechanism which can remove the stem. The beauty of this piece is remarkable and no picture can do it justice....it is in excellent condition (considering the renovation which is itself antique), 2" overall in length and a gem of the craftsman's art

Edwardian c. 1915

Platinum topped 18 kt. yellow gold pierced and millegrained BROOCH. A lovely example of late Edwardian or early Art Deco, this piece has  a very geometric look to it. The center diamond is a round 10 points old mine cut set in a millegrained bezel. There are an additional 26 rose cut diamonds for added interest and if that were not enough, there are 18 calibre cut sapphires at each end of the brooch. The central diamond is surrounded by 16 square cut sapphires. All of the sapphires are a dark, rich blue and the entire mount is millegrained and pierced exquisitely. No detail was left undone. A beautiful piece that is 2" overall in length and 1/2" wide and in excellent condition with a safety clasp

Platinum topped 18kt. yellow gold BROOCH in a wonderfully geometric design. The brooch is decorated with 50 rose cut diamonds and 30 square, calibre cut rubies. 14Kt. white gold  PENDANT/ BROOCH in a typical 1950's Atomic starburst design with 1-30 pt. center diamond in SI2 clarity . The additional accent stones are 9- 5 pt. diamonds in VS2 clarity . Platinum and diamond pierced and millegrained plaque BROOCH. Nothing shy and retiring about this piece. Originally a plaque for a necklace or belt, converted into a brooch in the 1920's,  this little beauty is 2-5/8" wide X 1-1/2" tall. It holds a center bezel set diamond of 40 points in a European old mine cut and has an additional 1.60 diamonds which create a spectacularly sparkly piece (total weight of 2.28 carats prox).  It is exquisitely decadent and is in very good condition (consider the conversion) with a trombone clasp
