18kt. yellow gold Georgian era NECKLACE. This piece has bright bloomed gold and features foiled pink topazes, oval and pear shaped. There are small green chrysoberyls for color. The piece is in a floriate design and is very 3-dimensional in look. There are 4 oval, foiled pink topazes and 4 pear-shaped topazes. They are all set in bezels with prongs. The piece was originally 2 bracelets and when combined became a necklace. The box clasps  for the bracelets were removed over 100 years ago. The necklace is 15" long and has a box clasp closure, original to the piece. The necklace lays very nice with no kinks or breaks. The central drop is 3-1/2" long and the 2 small drops are 1-1/2" long. The color for the topaz is generally good and even, although there is some loss of color to 2 of the stones (see larger pictures). A remarkably well preserved 200 year old piece of jewelry, the necklace weighs 37.8 grams and is in very good condition for its age

12kt. yellow gold  pendant NECKLACE in a wonderful transitional piece from the Late Georgian/Early Victorian period. This piece features 4 oval wine red cabochon cut garnets. The center garnet is 9.5mm X 7.5mm and bezel set. It features a very high dome. It is surrounded by 22 natural pearls strung on horsehair . The pearls are held in place by a rub over serrated bezel. The back is closed in as is typical during the Late Georgian period. The smaller drop has a 3.75mm X 3.0mm garnet and the stone is surrounded by 12 natural pearls. The 2 side pieces have 5.0mm X 4.0mm garnets and 14 natural pearls each. There are a total of 62 natural pearls which are white/gray and have a nice sheen. All the plaques feature closed backs. The chain is woven, double link and the necklace is 17" long. There is a replacement barrel clasp that is 14kt. yellow gold. The drop is 1-1/6" long. The back of the central plaque has a monogram of "NB" in old English script. The piece weighs 13.2 grams and is in excellent condition
